Obituary for Paula Jean Wilfert

Paula Jean (Rubino) Wilfert of Mashpee, MA, formerly of Winchester, passed away on November 18, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth J. Wilfert, who preceded her in death 35 years ago.

Born in Cambridge to Margaret M. (Kelley) Mork and Anthony M. Rubino, Paula worked as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist in Winchester and on Cape Cod and enjoyed travel, especially to tropical destinations, and entertaining family and friends. She was an avid reader who loved the beach and all animals, especially her precious bichon, Bella, and most recently her grand dog Bailey whose frequent visits brought her great joy in her final days.

She is survived by her loving children Susan (Wayne) Stevens of Arlington, MA, Ellen (Gilbert) Forest of Boston, MA, Karen Wilfert of Onset, MA and Elizabeth Jamiel of Mashpee, MA and siblings Laura Bates of Milford, NH, Richard Rubino of North Reading, MA, and William Rubino of Billerica, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Matthew Pinto of Lewiston, ME, Patrick Pinto of Mashpee, MA, Sophie Forest of Minneapolis, MN, Felix Roberge of Montreal, Canada, the late Benjamin Stevens, and the late Kristoffer Stevens. She is also survived by great grandsons Nathanael and Gabriel. Paula is also survived by several nieces,nephews, and many cousins and friends.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 27 th at St Eulalia’s Church at 11:30. Visiting hours prior to the Funeral Mass at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main Street (Rte 38) WINCHESTER on Monday morning, November
