Obituary for Patricia L Murphy

Patricia Louise MURPHY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Winchester.
Born in Winchester MA, She was the daughter of John H. and Catherine M. Murphy of Winchester. She grew up on Nelson Street, Winchester graduating with the class of 1969. She was employed by Forest Solutions (FSO), Boston. Patricia’s professional career centered around Managing Office Services for Boston Law Firms. Early in her career she was employed by the law firm of Goulston & Storrs where she worked directly for the attorneys. It is here she made lifelong friends in addition to organizing, planning and executing all services needed for the successful operation of G&S. With FSO Pat took on the responsibility of managing Office Services for the Law Firm of McCarter & English LLP where She earned several awards and recognitions. Pat was loved and respected by her staff as well as McCarter & English Attorneys and personnel. Her enthusiasm for all aspects of her work day was unrivaled.
Patricia is survived by her twin sister, Phyllis Keenan and husband, James of Winchester; Frances Robinson of Woburn, MA; Gail Tuzzolo of Las Vegas, Nevada; Thomas P. Murphy and wife, Christine of Winchester. She was the proud aunt of Joseph Tuzzolo and wife Lisa of Woburn, MA; Sharyn Beaver and husband John of Wakefield, MA; Heather Murphy and husband David Scott of Philadelphia, PA; John Murphy and girlfriend Michelle Toomey of Chelmsford, MA; Ryan Keenan and wife Jessica of Haverhill, MA; Katherine Quinlan and husband Christopher of Woburn, MA. Cherished Great Nephews and Great Nieces are Brett and Brooke Tuzzolo; Matthew Beaver; Jack and William Murphy; Wyatt, Rebecca and Carly Keenan and Henry Murdoch Scott. She was predeceased by her parents John and Catherine Murphy and her brother John Joseph.
Patricia enjoyed planning holidays, parties, celebrations and events of all descriptions. In early June of 2019 She accomplished a dream to plan and execute a Canadian/American Reunion celebrating almost 50 years of International friendship. The weekend reunion took place on Loon Mountain, Lincoln, NH with 100+ participants.
Patricia’s family welcomes friends and colleagues on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 1pm - 4 pm to join them at Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main Street (rt 38) Winchester to share memories and honor her life. Interment is private.
Donations to TTCC are greatly appreciated. The Tapply-Thompson Community Center is one of only a few non-profit recreation departments in NH. The TTCC offers youth sports, after school programs, summer day camps, and many other activities. All donations received in Memory of Pat will go to our Youth Enrichment Fund that helps to offer special programs, scholarships and activities that we would otherwise be unable to provide. Pat was a very special person in our lives and volunteered at a number of events over the years. Her selfless spirit and zest for life will be greatly missed.
