Obituary for Pamela J. Stenberg

Pamela Jean Stenberg
1962-2020

Pam was born December 6, 1962, in Grand Forks, ND, to Virgil and Helen (Sorenson) Stenberg, and passed away December 29, 2020, in Providence, RI.

Pam was a graduate of Grand Forks Central High School, the University of North Dakota, and Boston College. She was also a national merit scholar, and language student in Germany. After graduation from the University of North Dakota with degrees in Chemistry and German, she earned a Doctorate of Chemistry from Boston College, and held faculty positions at Weber State University, Ogden, UT, and Northeastern University, Boston, MA.

With gentleness, kindness, and sensitivity, Pam lived her life among friends and family. Her favorite role was being a mother to her children – the center of her life. She faithfully loved them, attended their activities, shopped with them, and encouraged their interests. She encouraged her children through college and into their career pursuits. Her eye for color, passion for interior design, and furniture arrangement was always fun and enlightening. With a ready smile and a wicked sense of humor, Pam could make any gathering fun.

Pam is survived by her son Jude Capachietti and daughter Bella Capachietti, her father Virgil Stenberg; and her siblings Beth (Tam) Bodenheimer, Mary Severson, and Bradley (Michelle) Stenberg. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Stenberg.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the virtual celebration of life for Pam to be held at 7 pm ET on January 26, 2021. Please contact her children or siblings to get information on the virtual service. A in person celebration will be held later when safe to gather. Donations may be sent to the charity of your choice in memory of Pam.
