Obituary for Dolores Sullivan (Sartini)

Dolores (Sartini) Sullivan passed away peacefully on November 4th, 2021 at the age of 91. Born September 3rd, 1930 at home to Rina and Dino Sartini in Chelsea, MA. Predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Robert K. Sullivan of Winchester. Survived by her three children: Roberta Meehan (William); Lyn Moylan; and Robert K. Sullivan Jr. (Leeann). Devoted grandmother to Billy, Derek, Erica, Chelsea, Robyn, Trevor, and Rebecca, to whom she was affectionately known as Del. Great grandmother of seven. Also predeceased by her twin Nancy and three other sisters. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Del loved playing tennis, golfing, skiing, gardening, and most of all shopping. She lived for over 60 years on Cabot St in Winchester, but also owned a home in Wrinkle Point, West Dennis, where she tended her garden and was known for her cooking and throwing a great dinner party! Del volunteered many hours organizing the library at Wyman School, sewing costumes for WHS plays, and driving for the Red Cross. She was past president of the Winchester Garden Club and especially enjoyed her time with her friends as a member of the “Cookie Ladies” Club. Del will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held at Lane Funeral Home 760 Main St (Rte. 38), Winchester on Tuesday, November 9th from 4-7PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church, on Washington St. in Winchester on Wednesday, November 10th at 10AM. Interment at Wildwood Cemetery Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to an institution that was always dear to Bob and Del, the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 N. Beacon St, Watertown, MA 02472.
