After a long battle with cancer David Drew Jackson passed away on November 1, 2020, All Saints Day. Predeceased by his Mother Gertrude Hourihan & his father, Edward Jackson. David leaves a brother Edward Jackson & his wife Patsy of Holyoke, a brother, William Jackson & Ellen Jackson of Holyoke and adored niece, Marissa. He also leaves behind his long-time companion and soul mate Diane McGovern and his beloved “adopted” family who he loved as his own, which includes his "daughter "Julie Hartshorn & two "grandchildren " Lexi & Danny Hartshorn. Also part of his adopted family are Jay McGovern & his wife Jennifer and their two children James & Jackson. Dave will always be remembered for his kind gentle soul and sense of humor. He loved his Red Sox, Bob Dylan, jazz, summers down the cape, family dinners, playing wiffle ball with his grandkids, star gazing, and reading. A private funeral service for immediate family will be held on Monday November 9th . Others are kindly invited to attend on Monday, November 9th, a socially distant graveside service at Wildwood Cemetery 34 Palmer St. Winchester at 11:30 am.
