Obituary for Arthur H Solomon

Born in NYC on July 16 1934, Mr. Solomon passed away on his birthday, July 16, 2021. He was a resident of Woburn, Edgartown, and Winchester, MA. Graduating from Brooklyn Technical High School, he subsequently attended MIT, graduating in 1955, with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent two years in the Air Force from 1955 to 1957 in Niagara Falls, New York. Then, Mr. Solomon joined RCA Laboratories in Princeton, New Jersey. After RCA, He joined Arthur D. Little in the Telecommunications Section for 31 years. While there, he served as a Vice President of the Company. He owned numerous patents, including one for microwave radio. He also traveled extensively, and was fortunate enough to visit every continent in the world except Africa.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Joan (Cummings), and daughters Elizabeth Hintz of Cohasset, and Susan Dillon and her husband Mike, of Southborough. He leaves beloved granddaughters Caitlin Conrad and Rebecca Dillon.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, July 23rd at 11:00 am at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. Winchester. Interment will be private. In lieu of Flowers, mourners can make donations to the American Cancer Society,
